The Pacific Crest Keeshond Club was formed in February 1977 to support Keeshond owners and breeders across the Northwest. The first PCKC Specialty was held in 1997. 2019 is the first time PCKC has hosted a National Specialty.
In addition to regular meetings held in the greater Seattle area, PCKC hosts public educational events, microchip and tattoo ID clinics, puppy aptitude testing, grooming clinics, puppy socialization and training clinics. The Holland Happening Parade on Whidbey Island and the PCKC Fun Day are particularly popular with members and guests alike.
Rescuing abandoned or stray Keeshonden from local shelters all over the Northwest is one PCKC’s principal undertakings. For many years, “the Keeper of the Kees” has been the unofficial logo for PCKC Rescue.
